LITERARY versus VISUAL media, working differently in different contexts…

Dear Liz,
Something amiss here … ? I thought Leslie was writing about Jean’s marvelous literary description as ‘Jolly good & OK’ as an e-mail.  Not at all tedious.  But wouldn’t roll out so well as SPOKEN TEXT at a seminar-type discussion. Quite a different item if projected on screen as VISUAL IMAGE at seminar discussion, such as referenced in relation to Phoenix. Or to Evangeline’s lovely offerings. So, point being, LITERARY versus VISUAL media, working differently in different contexts.

I’m neither agreeing nor disagreeing with Leslie’s point – it’s not something I’ve put my mind to.  Just wanting to clarify misunderstanding (hope not adding to it?) .
