Immanence: The Journal of Applied Mythology, Legend, and Folktale

seeks articles for our Fall 2017 edition on the theme of what folklore, including myth, can tell us about governance and politics.
The primary goal of Immanence is to inform the educated but not necessarily academic reader about how motifs and images from myth, fairy tale, legend, and other kinds of folklore work their way into contemporary events. Our contributors have included mythologist Devdutt Pattanaik, urban violence survivor Romeo Keyes, psychologist and editor Sharon Blackie, and many others, including artists and poets. The edition on Folklore and Governance will include an article by former US Congressman and presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich.
Submission guidelines are here: //immanencejournal.com/submission-guidelines/. The deadline for the fall edition is August 1st. 4,000-word maximum length. We publish digitally twice a year for our subscribers. We also have a lively blog.
Please feel free to let people know about our journal. Thanks,
