For many years scholars of Jungian and post-Jungian studies have worked in relative isolation without a platform in which this rich multidisciplinary enterprise could come together. The International Association for Jungian Studies is an attempt to change this. We hope that you will join us by becoming a member. Membership privileges include participation in worldwide conferences, the ability to share ideas and scholarly insights on the online discussion forum and to reach out and learn across disciplines.
The idea for the IAJS was around for many years, but it took the face to face meetings between academics from many disciplines and countries, who share an interest in Jungian and post-Jungian Studies, to bring the idea to life. The IAJS was formally set up following the highly successful First International Academic Conference of Analytical Psychology in July 2002, which was organised by the International Association for Analytical Psychology at the University of Essex in partnership with the Centre for Psychoanalytic Studies. The Association’s first solo conference, Psyche and Imagination, was held at the University of Greenwich, London, in July 2006, and was extremely well attended.
