Murray Stein, Ph.D., is a training analyst at the International School for Analytical Psychology in Zurich, Switzerland. His most recent publications include The Principle of Individuation, Jung’s Map of the Soul and Jungian Psychoanalysis (editor). He lectures internationally on topics related to Analytical Psychology and its applications in the contemporary world.

I am grateful to Routledge for the invitation to contribute a volume to the World Library of Mental Health. It has just appeared! This is a selection of papers and book chapters from the past forty years that are meant to represent a personal history in writing and an overall body of work. It was a pleasure to assemble this volume and to add the explanatory commentary.
