New Important Book: Facing Climate Change: An Integrated Path to the Future. By Jeffrey Kiehl

My colleague Jeff Kiehl is a bit too modest in bringing his book to our attention. Jeff is in a unique position to speak to the various implications of climate change. He is a Jungian analyst who is also a senior scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research and a fellow of the American Geophysical Union and the American Meteorological Society. You can read more about his book here:

Mark Winborn

Facing Climate Change explains why people refuse to accept evidence of a warming planet and shows how to move past partisanship to reach a consensus for action. A climate scientist and licensed Jungian analyst, Jeffrey T. Kiehl examines the psychological phenomena that twist our relationship to the natural world and their role in shaping the cultural beliefs that distance us further from nature. He also accounts for the emotions triggered by the lived experience of climate change and the feelings of fear and loss they inspire, which lead us to deny the reality of our warming planet.

Thank you Mark, for adding this important information regarding Jeff’s book.  I would like to read it and digest it.  And congratulations Jeff Kiehl.

I am particularly wanting to read it in the light of the horrendous fires up in Ft. Mc. Murray, here in ALberta.

Here’s another problem for our book industry….by the time the shipping and taxes have been added this book is over $100 U.S.

Translate that into Canadian dollars….

Best wishes,

Thanks, Jeffrey, for announcing what looks like a terribly important book; and thanks, Mark, for the link.
