International Association for Jungian Studies
22 to 25 July 2027
Hosted by
International Association for Jungian Studies
&
Department of Psychosocial and
Psychoanalytic Studies, University of Essex
There are moments in a discipline when time stops moving in a straight line—and begins to circle.
This conference stands precisely at that threshold.
Twenty-five years after its founding, the International Association for Jungian Studies invites us not simply to look back, but to step into a living continuum—to stand, like the blossom of the Yesterday–Today–Tomorrow tree, inside transformation itself. What opens in deep violet as memory softens into the present and, almost imperceptibly, becomes the future.
Jungian thought has never been static. It breathes. It sheds skins. It dreams forward. And across these past decades, it has moved from intimate analytic rooms into global, interdisciplinary dialogue—bridging psyche and culture, myth and method, symbol and science.
Now, at the University of Essex—its original ground—we return not to repeat what has been said, but to listen again, more deeply.
What has endured?
What has evolved?
And more provocatively—what is trying to emerge through us now?
Like the griffin—lion of the earth, eagle of the sky—we are asked to hold tension without collapse. To think across worlds. To feel into what is forming at the edge of knowing.
This is not just a call for papers.
It is a call to participate in the next movement of a living tradition.
